New from Low's Alan Sparks comes his other project Retribution Gospel Choir, sort of his "I wanna rock out trio". The first track "Hide It Away" has all the sweeping, shimmering noise of Low, albeit louder. The sophomore release simply titled 2 will be out Jan. 26, 2010 on SubPop. via RCRD LBL

These guys are fantastic...they kinda amazed me...I was never a big fan of Low but after seeing RGC live I really appreciated the new sound and the guitars riffs are great.
